    Alumni Spotlight: Dale Trumbore, '09
    On September 20, Dissonant Gorgeous Productions released a recording of Dale Trumbore's (B.M. Music Composition '09) song cycle, Snow White Turns Sixty, which was featured in LAist and on Classical KUSC . The release included an exclusive invitation-only performance and reception at the Foundation House in Los Angeles, featuring Trumbore on piano and soprano Gillian Hollis (B.M. Vocal Performance '09). The album will be distributed by CDBaby, iTunes and Amazon.

    Seven School of Music graduate students, one recent musicology MA, and faculty member J. Lawrence Witzleben, will present papers at the Society for Ethnomusicology's 55th Annual Conference, the most important and competitive conference in the field of ethnomusicology.

    Dr. Lee Hinkle performs at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention
    Dr. Lee Hinkle will perform at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention with Janis Potter and the All-Star Mallet Ensemble on November 12, 2010. He will be joined by Anders Astrand, Juli Davila, Lalo Davila, Chris Deviney, Mark Ford, Joseph Gramley, Chris Hanning, William Moersch, Glenn Paulson and She-e Wu in a program that includes new works for solo marimba and percussion ensemble.

    Pianist Naoko Takao (DMA 2004) performed on the Millenium Stage, April 5, and her performance is available as streaming video on the Kennedy Center's website. Gold Medal Winner of the 2000 San Antonio International Piano Competition, Takao is an artist-in-residence at Strathmore.
