UMD SUMMER CHORUS
UMD Summer Chorus is offered to anyone in high school or above who likes to sing—with no audition required! Attendees include potential and current School of Music students, school alumni and members of the community.
For three weeks in June and/or July, UMD Summer Chorus rehearses and performs a major choral work with a professional orchestra and soloists. Led by one or more of the talented graduate students in the choral conducting program, past performances have included Mozart’s Requiem, Haydn’s Harmoniemesse, Duruflé’s Requiem and Orff’s Carmina Burana.
Summer chorus will return this year with Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, Hogan's His Light Still Shines, and Copland's The Promise of Living, directed by Eric Beomjin Kim and Julie Huang Tucker
