Elizabeth Massey
Elizabeth Massey is a musicologist specializing in performance traditions and reception, particularly of historical and current popular music. She also conducts regular scholarship on teaching and learning and is an active member and webmaster of the Pedagogy Study Group of the American Musicological Society. Massey received her Ph.D. in Music from University of Maryland, College Park, where she received a fellowship award for her teaching and completed pedagogical training through UMD's Teaching and Learning Transformation Center. She also regularly writes program notes and does pre-concert lectures for UMD School of Music ensembles, The Clarice, National Orchestral Institute + Festival, the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
