Josh Thompson

Josh Thompson is the Manager of Enrollment Services at the University of Maryland School of Music, having previously served as the Graduate Student Services Coordinator at UMD. Josh comes to the University of Maryland after working at the Yale College Dean’s Office.

A horn player, Thompson is a member of District5 and has performed with many ensembles including the National Philharmonic, American Pops Orchestra, Naples (FL) Philharmonic, Chicago Philharmonic, and New World Symphony. Josh has held fellowships at various programs, including the Tanglewood Music Center, New York String Orchestra Seminar, Norfolk (CT) Chamber Festival, and the Bowdoin International Music Festival.

Thompson holds degrees from the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University and the Yale School Music, studying with Gail Williams, William Purvis, and Jonathan Boen.
