Sharon Keyser

As assistant director of finance for the School of Music, Sharon Keyser oversees financial operations, provides strategic financial management aimed at securing long-term fiscal health and stability, oversees and approves unit expenditures, maintains an understanding of foundation accounts and scholarship expenditures, oversees the annual working budget process, establishes effective budget reporting procedures and processes and provides budget projections to assist the director in making decisions in the best fiscal interest of the school.

Before coming to the University of Maryland, she held the position of finance manager for the Financial Management office of the George Washington University Athletics and Recreation Department. She received her bachelor's degree in accounting from Howard University and her certificate as a Certified Public Accountant from the District of Columbia.
