Double Reed Day 2026
Double Reed Day 2026
ABOUT THE EVENT
Join UMD double reed faculty Emily Tsai (oboe) and Joseph Grimmer (bassoon) for the School of Music's Double Reed Day! This event is an opportunity for double reed players to experience what being a student at the UMD School of Music is like, and will include include recital performances, oboe and bassoon masterclasses and a Q&A discussion with faculty. All attendees will also have the opportunity to perform in a Double Reed Choir, so bring your instrument and be ready to play! Parents are encouraged to stay for our "Talk with Parents - How to be Supportive Double Reed Parent" session.
