About the Event
Join us for Maryland Clarinet Day at the University of Maryland School of Music! This all-day event will feature performances and masterclasses from three guest clinicians: Ixi Chen of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Daniel Gilbert of the University of Michigan, and David Gould of the American Ballet Theatre Orchestra and Vandoren. The day will also feature special ensemble performances by the Blackwood Clarinet Quartet and more, vendor exhibitions, a clarinet choir reading session, and a clarinet reed adjusting class by UMD Professor of Clarinet Robert DiLutis.
Clarinetists of all ages and abilities are welcome and encouraged to attend. The $35 registration fee includes a provided lunch. Pre-register by Sunday, April 12; onsite registration will be available for $40.
Maryland Clarinet Day is co-sponsored by the University of Maryland School of Music and the Maryland Clarinet Society. Proceeds from Maryland Clarinet Day will go to support UMD clarinet students’ travel to England with the Maryland Clarinet Society this May.
Event Schedule
Check-in will begin at 8 a.m. and events will conclude at 5 p.m.; lunch will be provided.
