Student Degree Recital: Carl Chung B.M. Violin

College of Arts and Humanities | School of Music | The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center Monday, February 14, 2022 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm Tawes Hall, Ulrich Recital Hall

This event does not take place at The Clarice. Attend in person at Ulrich Recital Hall located in Tawes Hall or watch the livestream from the comfort of your home.

Featuring works by W. A. Mozart, Julius Conus, Pablo de Sarasate and Tomaso Antonio Vitali, this concise, one-hour recital covers a variety of different musical impressions. From the afternoon-perfect Violin Sonata No. 17 in C major by Mozart, to the dramatic Vitali’s Chaconne in G minor, listeners will take an unusual route throughout a few memorable pieces of classic violin repertory. And, of course, Sarasate’s popular Zapateado is visited along the way. Violinist Carl Chung will be accompanied by pianist Dr. Jessica McKee.
