ABOUT THE EVENT

Ruth Swope's master's degree recital features works by Cecile Chaminade, Johannes Brahms, Sergey Prokofiev and Olivier Messiaen. The music spans across the 19th and 20th centuries and provides room for a delightful range of musical emotions: from playfully cheeky to ponderous and introverted, to mildly insane, to profoundly and tenderly devotional. It is dedicated in memory of her mother, Jennifer L Swope.
