Vibraphone Century Part 2: Meditation

To celebrate the centennial of the vibraphone in 2021, Sylvia Smith commissioned 10 composers to write a challenging work for the instrument and compiled them in a collection called Vibraphone Century. In this second of three recitals, Zach Wilson will perform two of the works, which highlight the sustain of the vibraphone and the moto-perpetuo capabilities of the percussionist. These works are by Alvin Lucier and Nikolaus Gerzewski.
