ABOUT THE EVENT
Nicholas González (horn), with pianist Jessica McKee, presents his B.M. senior horn performance and B.M.E music education degree recital: "IMAGININGS." From pensive yearning art songs and romances to the swashbuckling grandeur of Robin Hood, this program features a diverse and exciting collection of works for horn and piano which seek to inspire your imagination.
This program will consist entirely of repertoire written by female composers, including Gina Gillie's Romance for Wagner Tuba. Additionally, Dos gardenias, a traditional Cuban bolero by Isolina Carrillo, will be performed by a collection of members from the UMD School of Music Steel Band.
