Terrapin Community Music School Academy Prep: a semester-long program for musicians across Maryland entering grades 6-8. Academy Prep sessions are held from 2:00–4:00 p.m..
Classes and lessons are held on Sundays at the University of Maryland School of Music.
Academy Offerings
One-On-One Lessons
Participants receive collaborative, private lessons from graduate assistants from the School of Music. Students are encouraged to pick their own repertoire and decide what goals they want to achieve throughout the semester.
Group Coaching
Students are assigned to groups with others who share their instrument for group instruction from graduate assistants and guest artists. Group coachings provide students with the opportunity to meet and perform in front of their peers.
