Join the search for the UMD Symphony Orchestra’s next featured soloist. In the first round of this annual competition, UMD School of Music students perform concerto excerpts or concert pieces for an independent jury panel. With each round of the competition, the field narrows until the final round, when a winner and runners-up are announced.

Through its committed and polished performances under the baton of David Neely, UMSO is dedicated to the power of musical communication.
